LoRaWan Gateway Module LoRaWan1301 Transmit Power Test

NiceRF conducted a transmit power test for its new LoRaWan gateway module LoRaWan1301 and here is the test report.

Power is one of the important parameters of wireless module. The greater the power of wireless module, the farther the transmit distance, and the higher the power consumption.

Frequency spectrograph, DC power supply, electrostatic bracelet, ammeter, product function test rack.

3. LoRaWan Gateway Module LoRaWan1301 test indicators

3.1. Working voltage: DC5V

3.2. LoRaWan gateway module transmitting power: > 22dBm

3.3. Center frequency error: <1KHz

3.4. Emission current: <480mA

 

4. LoRaWan Gateway Module LoRaWan1301 test process

4.1 Wear an electrostatic bracelet and set the power supply voltage at 5V.

4.2 Set the central frequency point of the frequency spectrograph as working frequency point of the module to be tested. See the LCD display for the specific frequency point.

Set the frequency of the demo board to be consistent with the module to be tested, and connect the display and hand mark.

For example, 433M module, the parameter settings are shown in the following figure:

4.3 Put the module into the test fixture in the correct direction. When powered on, the GPO-GP4 light on the test rack shall be on for one second and then off, and press the run key of the test rack. The frequency spectrograph shall display the power higher than 22dBm and the frequency within the range, as shown in the figure below:

4.4 During communication test, the green light on the receiving board shall flash.

4.5 Only when the tests in above 4.4 and 4.5 are both normal, the product is qualified.

 

5. LoRaWan Gateway Module LoRaWan1301 attention:

5.1 The power connection between DC power supply and test fixture shall not be reversed, and the DC power supply voltage shall not be adjusted arbitrarily after setting.

5.2 LoRaWan Gateway Module LoRaWan1301 spectrum analyzer parameters cannot be changed after setting.

5.3 All power supply instruments shall be reliably grounded.
