There are three call modes of DMR828 walkie talkie module: single account, group call and all call. Because the call mode setting process is more complicated, NiceRF hereby present a setting tutorial for wireless, hoping to help everyone.
First, let's take a look at the difference between these three call modes:
Call mode | Emission parameters | Receive parameters | Function |
Single call | Call contact (command 0x18 set) | Local ID (command 0x1B set) | One-to-one communication, the call type of the transmitter needs to be single call, and the contact number is the same as the ID of the called party to communicate. |
Group call | Call contact (command 0x18 set) | Receive group call ID (command 0x29) | The call type of the transmitter must be a group call, and the contact number is consistent with the ID of the called party to receive the group call before communication can be performed. |
All call | Call contact (command 0x18 set) | none | Broadcast mode, the call type of the transmitter must be all call, and the contact number range is 0xFFFFF0~0xFFFFFF, The called party can communicate after receiving the signal |
1. Single call
instruction
Transmission parameters: Set the contact person 0x18 in the 4.19 communication protocol of the DMR828 walkie talkie module
Description: Set the intercom contact. The instruction is set successfully, after pressing PTT, send it according to the contact set by the instruction,
The parameters are not saved after power failure.
Format: 68 18 01 01 CHKSUM 00 04 Call_type CallNum10
Parameter Description:
Call_type: One byte, call type
0x01-> call
CallNum: three bytes, contact number
Receiving parameters: set the ID of this unit in the 4.29 communication protocol of the DMR828 walkie-talkie module
Description: Set the local intercom number
Format: 68 1B 01 01 CHKSUM 00 03 SelfNum 10
Parameter Description:
SelfNum: 3 bytes, the local intercom number

2. Group call
2.1 Instructions
Transmission parameters: Set the contact person 0x18 in the 4.19 communication protocol of the DMR828 walkie-talkie module
0x02-> Group call
CallNum: three bytes, contact number
Receiving parameters: Set the receiving group call ID on the 4.27.1 communication protocol
Description: Add group call contacts, and switch the group call contacts of the current channel to this list
Format: 68 29 01 01 CHKSUM 00 04 INDEX CallNum 10
Parameter Description:
INDEX: 1 byte, group call list sequence number, range 1~32
CallNum: 3 bytes, group call contact number
2.2 Description
Each DMR828 walkie-talkie module saves 32 receiving group lists, which can store valid group call numbers.
When the DMR828 radio module is working, one of the lists can be selected as the current receiving list. Note that the current receiving group list of each channel is independent of each other, and the current receiving group list will automatically switch after the channel is switched.
Only when the call type initiated by the caller is a group call and the contact number is in the current receiving list, the communication can be normal.
The user can switch the receiving list to the current channel by command 0x29 or add group call contacts to the receiving list. For ease of use, you can use only one of the lists.
3. All call
The setting of all call is the same as that of group call, but the receiving parameters of all call do not need to be set and the calling number range is different. Be sure to pay attention to these two points when setting the full call.
