Customers who are familiar with our products know that our company has an SV series wireless module, then what is the SV-pro series wireless module? SV-pro is a wireless module of wireless data transmission series newly developed by our company, which uses a high-performance Si4463 radio frequency chip. So what is the difference between SV series and SV-pro series wireless modules?
First, let’s briefly introduce these two series of modules.
The wireless module of the SV series uses the high-performance Silicon Lab Si4432 radio frequency chip. Extremely low receiving sensitivity, coupled with industry-leading output power, guarantees extended range and improved link performance. SV series provide multi-frequency bands and multi-channels and network ID to reduce interference during transmission and improve transmission performance. Users can modify and set the serial port and RF-related parameters through PC software or online. Anti-interference, long-distance transmission, a wide range of working voltage, and even rich and convenient programming settings make it widely used.

After introducing the two series of wireless modules, let's formally answer what is the difference between the two series of modules.
From the introduction, it is clear that SV uses the SI4432 chip, and SV-pro uses the SI4463 chip. (The specific parameters of the chip can be consulted by our company)
SV series wireless modules use GFSK modulation mode, while SV-pro series wireless modules use FSK/4FSK modulation mode.
The transmission rate of SV is up to 115200bps, while the transmission rate of SV-pro is up to 1Mbps. (1Mbps>115200bps, the higher the rate, the faster the transmission speed, and more data can be transmitted per unit time.)
SV-pro series wireless modules have one more watchdog algorithm than SV series wireless modules. The function of this algorithm is that when the module crashes, it can be automatically reset, abbreviated as: anti-crash reset.
The wireless module of the SV-pro series uses a TCXO crystal oscillator, and the wireless module of the SV series uses an ordinary crystal oscillator. The difference between the TCXO crystal oscillator and the ordinary crystal oscillator is that the TCXO crystal oscillator can make the frequency of the module more accurate, with an accuracy of up to 1ppm (the accuracy can be maintained at 1ppm at -40 ± 85 ℃), while the ordinary crystal oscillator has an accuracy of 10ppm.
The SV series wireless module uses the Si4432 chip, which is broadband communication, while the SV-pro series Si4463 is narrowband communication. The advantage of the narrowband is that the anti-interference effect is better than that of the broadband, so the SV-pro series is anti-interference Ability is better than the SV series.
Through a series of comprehensive comparisons, it is not difficult to see that the wireless module of the SV-pro series is an upgraded version of the SV series. If you do not consider the increase in cost, choosing the wireless module of the SV-pro series will undoubtedly be of great help to the improvement of the project.
