SK200PRO series LoRa wireless single-channel switch MESH module is a powerful industrial-grade remote wireless control module. It utilizes LoRa spread spectrum modulation and frequency hopping technology to achieve high reception sensitivity and strong anti-interference performance. The module consists of a transmitter (SK200PRO-TX) and a receiver (SK200PRO-RX), enabling convenient wireless switch control. It is widely used in applications such as remote switch control, security systems, wireless remote access control, and wireless pump control. This article will provide a detailed guide on how to connect the SK200PRO module to a PC and configure its parameters.
SK200PRO-TX Transmitter Module: Choose a module with a power rating of 100mW, 1W, 2W, or 5W based on your requirements.
SK200PRO-RX Receiver Module.
USB-to-TTL Adapter: Used to connect the module to the PC.
Dedicated 6-PIN Terminal Cable: Used to connect the module and the USB adapter.
Antenna: Select a suitable antenna based on the module model, such as a rod antenna or a small magnetic base antenna.
Power Cable (only required for SK200PRO-TX-5W, which needs external power supply).
SK200PRO Configuration Software: Software for setting module parameters, available for download from the official website (Download link).
Note: Choose the corresponding software version based on the module version. For UART interface modules, download the UART software package.
USB Driver: Required for the PC to recognize the USB-to-TTL adapter. You need to install the appropriate driver based on the model of the adapter.
2. Parameter Configuration Method
The transmitting and receiving parameters must be the same
2.1 Set the transmitter
Transmitter configuration steps:
A) Install the USB driver
B) Put on the shorting cap on the USB bridge, connect the USB bridge with transmitter through 6PIN cable .
C) Connect the USB bridge with the computer, (SK200PRO_TX_5W needs external power supply, because of the high output power , the USB port can’t drive this high output power)
D) The red and blue led on the transmitter will be light on to indicate the transmitter is in the setting mode
E) Open the transmitter configuration software, select the right com port, and click the "OPEN" button to open the serial port
F) Click the [READ] button to read all the current parameters
G) Modify the parameters
H) Click the [SET] button to confirm the modification
I) If necessary , Click the [DEFAULT] button to restore the parameters to the factory default values.
2.2. Receiver Side
Open the receiver casing and connect it to the PC via the USB board for configuration (refer to the configuration steps for the transmitter). The wiring diagram is shown below:
In situations where it is inconvenient to open the casing, users can also connect the transmitter to the computer and use the PC software to remotely modify the receiver's parameters via wireless communication.
a) Connect the transmitter to the computer via the USB-to-TTL adapter (note: remove the jumper cap on the adapter board), then open the receiver configuration software.
b) Select the correct COM port and open the serial connection.
c) Enter the Node ID of the receiver to be configured in the "NODE ID" field on the right. The factory default Node ID is 0001.
d) Click the [READ] button to read all current parameter information from the receiver.
e) Modify the necessary parameters and click the [SET] button to confirm the changes.
f) Click the [DEFAULT] button to restore the receiver parameters to factory defaults.
Parameter description:
After modifying the required parameters, click the [SET] button to confirm and save the changes.
Click the [DEFAULT] button to restore the receiver’s parameters to factory default settings.
The antenna is a critical component of the communication system, and its performance directly affects the system's overall efficiency.
To ensure optimal module performance, it is recommended to use antennas provided by the supplier.
During antenna use, follow these principles to achieve the best communication distance:
Avoid placing the antenna close to the ground surface, and keep it away from surrounding obstacles.
If using a magnetic base antenna, try to keep the cable as straight as possible, and ensure the magnetic base is attached to a metal surface.
