Comparison and Applications of Non-Mesh and Mesh Networking Transmission in Data Transmission Modules

By sdga:

Keywords: Data Transmission Module, Mesh Networking

Abstract: In the transmission modes of data transmission modules, Non-Mesh refers to the direct point-to-point transmission of data from source nodes to target nodes, simplifying the design and configuration of communication

systems. On the other hand, Mesh networking represents a mesh-based transmission method that offers greater scalability to achieve larger coverage areas, making it suitable

for applications requiring long-distance transmission and multi-path transmission capabilities.

In the transmission modes of data transmission modules, Non-Mesh refers to the direct point-to-point transmission of data from source nodes to target nodes, operating independently of mesh network structures. On the other hand, Mesh networking represents a mesh-based transmission method where data transmission relies on a mesh network structure, allowing each node in the network to communicate directly with other nodes.

The Non-Mesh transmission mode is simpler compared to a mesh network. In the Non-Mesh transmission mode, communication between nodes doesn't require establishing complex network topologies; each node communicates directly with the target node. This simplifies the design and configuration of the communication system, reducing system complexity and maintenance costs. Additionally, because communication in Non-Mesh transmission mode doesn't rely on intermediate nodes for relaying, data transfer latency is lower, resulting in faster transmission speeds. This is particularly crucial for applications that demand real-time transmission and rapid responses, making it suitable for small-scale applications with high real-time requirements.

Mesh networking is a transmission mode based on a mesh-like structure. In a Mesh network, each node possesses the capability to communicate directly with other nodes, creating an interconnected mesh structure. Each node has the ability to send and receive data, enabling data transmission through multiple pathways, thus enhancing the network's resilience and reliability. Mesh networks exhibit self-organizing capabilities, allowing the network to automatically reconfigure and optimize communication paths in response to changes in network topology, such as the addition or departure of nodes. Furthermore, Mesh networking offers flexible scalability to achieve broader coverage, suitable for applications with extensive, long-range, and complex communication needs. It provides adaptable and reliable solutions for areas like the Internet of Things (IoT), smart homes, and smart cities.

Wireless Data Transmission Module LoRa611 Pro Transmission Modes

The LoRa611Pro is a wireless data transmission module developed based on

Semtech's SX127X chip. To cater to diverse application needs, the LoRa611Pro offers two different transmission modes: Non-Mesh (non-mesh) and Mesh (mesh networking), suitable for various application scenarios. The software design of this wireless data transmission module is multifunctional and offers a multi-select configuration method, allowing users to configure the module and switch between different operating modes using PC software. In Mesh mode, the routing module is equipped with automatic routing functionality, enabling users to establish network transmissions without blind spots or distance limitations by combining multiple modules. Additionally, users can encrypt wireless data using AES128 encryption through PC software or serial port commands to enhance data transmission security. It's important to note that the LoRa611Pro has obtained KC certification.
