There is MCU in the wireless wireless datatransmission module, the control program in the module has been programmed intothe MCU by NiceRF, user can directly send and receive communication withoutusing other tools. Among them, the wireless data transmission module is mainlydivided into SV module series and lora module series, so what is the differencebetween them as wireless data transmission modules?
SV module series
The SV moduleseries uses a high-performance Silicon Lab RF chip. Extremely low receivesensitivity, combined with industry-leading, large output power guaranteesextended range and improved link performance. The SV series of wireless datatransmission modules provide multi-band multi-channel and network ID to reduceinterference during transmission to improve transmission performance. Users canmodify the serial port and RF related parameters through PC software or online.
Among them, the SVmodule series has a total of 100MW, 400MW, 500MW, 1W, 3W, 5W and otherdifferent power supply options.
Lora module series
The LoRa moduleseries is a series of upgraded networking wireless communication modulesrecently developed by NiceRF. It is based on Semtech's SX127X chip and usesadvanced LoRaTM spread spectrum modulation frequency hopping technology toachieve high sensitivity. which make the penetration capability andcommunication distance longer than thecurrent FSK and GFSK products, and have stronger anti-interference capacity. Inorder to meet the application needs of different customers, we designed themodule software of this series as an all-in-one way. Users can switch betweendifferent working modes through the PC software configuration module. In MESHmode, the routing module has automatic routing function, the user can form anetwork transmission without blind zone without distance limitation by means ofmulti-module combination. At the same time, users can also encrypt AES128wireless data through PC software or serial port instructions, making datatransmission more secure.
Among them, thelora Pro module is market-oriented with five different power lora modules of100 MW, 500 MW, 1W, 5W, and 30.
So what is thedifference directly?
The SV moduleseries integrates Silicon Lab's si4432 chip; the lora module series integrates Semtech's SX127X chip.
2. Power selection
The SV seriesmodules have 400MW and 3W different powers than the lora module series, and theSV series 100MW and 500MW modules have different modules of different sizes andsizes, which can meet the different needs of users. In comparison, the SVseries of modules offer more power options.
The advantage ofthe lora module in transmission distance has always been well-known in theindustry. The same 5W high-power module, the lora module can reach 10KM in theopen distance, while the SV series module is only 8KM.
The lora moduleuses the LoRaTM spread spectrum modulation frequency hopping technique; the SVmodule uses the GFSK modulation method. Lora TM spread spectrum modulationtechnologyhas higher accuracy and higher capability of anti-jammingthan GFSK.
5. Receive current
The same 5W highpower module, 5W lora module receiving current is <18mA, and 5W SV modulereceiving current is <30mA. The smaller the receiving current, the lower thepower consumption, so the lora module is far superior to the SV series modulesin terms of low power consumption.
The transmissionrate of the SV series digital transmission module is much faster than that ofthe lora series digital transmission module. It is also a 5W power module. Thetransmission rate of the SV series is 1.2~115.2Kbps. The transmission rate ofthe lora module series is 91~17353bps. (Kbps is 1000 times that of bps).
The modules of thelora series are higher than the modules of the SV series. If the cost problemis not considered in a project, it is suggested appropriate to choose the lora module. However, how to choose specificallydepends on the actual situation of the project.
