How to set the three call modes of the DMR828 docking module
Date:2019/9/9 16:08:45   Browse:0

The call mode ofthe DMR828 walkie-talkie module is divided into three types: single-call, groupcall and full-call. Since the call mode setting process is complicated, I wouldlike to offer a set-up tutorial .

First, let's takea look at the differences between these three call modes:

Call mode

Emission parameter

Receiving parameter

Features

Single call

Call contact (command 0x18 settings)

Local ID (command 0x1B setting

One-to-one communication, the type of the caller of  the transmitter must be single call, and the contact number is the same as  the local ID of the caller.

Group call

Call contact (command 0x18 settings)

Receive group call ID (command 0x29)

The caller's call type needs to be a group call, and  the contact number should be the same as receiver’s.

Full call

Call contact (command 0x18 settings)

No need to set

In broadcast mode, the caller's call type needs to  be full call, and the contact number range is 0xFFFFF0~0xFFFFFF,

The receiver can receive communication when  receiving the signal.

1. Single call

instruction

Transmittingparameters: 4.19 communication protocol setting contact in DMR828 walkie-talkiemodule 0x18

Description: Setthe intercom contact. After the command is set successfully. When pressing PTT,the communication will be setup to the contact set by the command .

The parameter isnot saved after power off.

Format: 68 18 0101 CHKSUM 00 04 Call_type CallNum 10

ParameterDescription:

Call_type: onebyte, call type

0x01->singlecall

CallNum: threebytes, contact number

Receiveparameters: Set the local ID in the 4.29 communication protocol of the DMR828walkie-talkie module.

Description: Setthe local walkie-talkie number

Format: 68 1B 0101 CHKSUM 00 03 SelfNum 10

ParameterDescription:

SelfNum: 3 bytes,local walkie-talkie number

example:

2. Single call

0x01->singlecall

CallNum: threebytes, contact number

Receiveparameters: Set the local ID in the 4.29 communication protocol of the DMR828walkie-talkie module.

Description: Setthe local walkie-talkie number

Format: 68 1B 0101 CHKSUM 00 03 SelfNum 10

ParameterDescription:

SelfNum: 3 bytes,local walkie-talkie number

example:

Communication canonly be performed when the call type initiated by the caller is a group calland the contact number is in the current receiving list of the receiver.

The user canswitch the receiving list to the current channel or add a group callcontactgroup  into the receiving list bycommand 0x29. For ease of use, just use one of the lists.

3.Full call

The setting of thefull call is the same as the group call, but the receiving parameters of thefull call do not need to be set and the calling number range is different. Besure to pay attention to these two points when setting up a full call.
