What is the difference between SV and SV-pro series wireless modules?

Customers who arefamiliar with our products know that NiceRF has a wireless module of SV series.What is the wireless module of SV-pro series? SV-pro's newly developed wirelessmodule for wireless data transmission series uses the high-performance SI4463RF chip. So what is the difference between the SV series and the SV-pro seriesof wireless modules?

Firstly, have abrief look at the two series of modules.

SV Series

The wirelessmodules of the SV series use the high-performance Silicon Lab si4432 RF chip.Extremely low receive sensitivity, coupled with industry-leading output powerguarantees ultra long transmission range and link budget. The SV series ofwireless modules provide multi-band multi-channel and network ID to reduceinterference during transmission to improve transmission performance. Users canmodify the serial port and RF related parameters through PC software or online.Anti-interference, long-distance transmission, a wide range of operatingvoltages and even a wide range of convenient programming settings make it idealwireless module for user.

SV-pro Series

This wirelessmodule of the SV-pro series is based Silicon Lab Si4463 RF chip. The SV-prowireless module provides multi-band multi-channel and network ID to reduceinterference during transmission to improve transmission performance. Users canmodify the serial port and RF related parameters through PC software or online.

After introducingthe wireless modules of these two series, we formally answer the differencebetween the two series of modules.

1.RF Chip

From theintroduction, it is clear that SV uses the chip of SI4432, and SV-pro uses thechip of SI4463. (Specific parameters of the two chips can be obtained  from our company)

2. Modulation method

The wirelessmodule of the SV series adopts the modulation mode of GFSK, while the wirelessmodule of the SV-pro series adopts the FSK/4FSK modulation mode.

3. Transmission rate

The transmission bitrateof SV is up to 115200bps, while the transmission bitrate of SV-pro is up to1Mbps. (1Mbps>115200bps, the higher the rate, the faster the transmissionspeed, and more data can be transmitted in a unit of time.)

4. Watchdog algorithm

The wirelessmodule of the SV-pro series has a watchdog algorithm more than the wirelessmodule of the SV series. The function of this algorithm is to automaticallyreset when the module crashes, referred to as: anti-crash reset.

5. Crystal oscillator

The wirelessmodule of the SV-pro series uses the TCXO crystal oscillator, and the wirelessmodule of the SV series uses a common crystal oscillator. The difference  between the TCXO crystal oscillator and the ordinary crystaloscillator is that the TCXO crystal oscillator can make provide a more accuratefrequency, with an accuracy of 1ppm (accuracy can be maintained at 1ppm at -40 - +85degrees), while the ordinary crystal oscillator accuracy is 10ppm.

6. Anti-interference ability

The wirelessmodule of SV series adopts the chip of SI4432. This chip is broadbandcommunication, and the si4463 of SV-pro series is narrowband communication. Theadvantage of narrowband is that the anti-interference effect is better thanthat of broadband, so SV-pro series anti-interference The ability is betterthan the SV series.

Through a seriesof comprehensive comparisons, it is not difficult to find that the SV-proseries of wireless modules is an upgraded version of the SV series. If thebudget is adequate, the wireless module of the SV-pro series is a betterchoice.
