1. Test product information

Product number: SV6500-433 wireless module

product description:

The SV6500-433 wireless module is a super long-range wireless data transmission radio with a high-performance SiliconLab Si4432 RF chip. The extremely low receive sensitivity, combined with the industry-leading 5 W of large output power, guarantees extended range and improved link performance. The wireless data transmission module provides multi-band multi-channel and network ID to reduce interference during transmission to improve transmission performance. Users can modify the serial port and RF related parameters through PC software or online.

Wireless remote telemetry, remote meter reading, security system, industrial data acquisition, home automation telemetry, wireless data communication, access control system, robot control

2. Product test voltage: DC12V

3. Product test purpose

Test whether the operating frequency of the SV6500-433 wireless module product meets the standard in different industrial environment temperatures, and whether the communication function is normal.

4. Product testing equipmen

         ■ Agilent 8594E spectrum analyzer

         ■ Programmable constant temperature and humidity test chamber

         ■ Standard DEMO board with serial port, sent and received once every fixed time

         ■ 433MHz, 868MHz antenna

(Programmable constant temperature and humidity test chamber)

                                ( Agilent 8594E spectrum analyzer)

                                                (DOMO board)

                                      (SV6500-433 wireless module)

5. Product testing methods

1. Connect the product to the standard DEMO board, put it into the incubator after power-on, set the temperature of the incubator to -40°. After the temperature is stable, monitor the actual working frequency of the product with a spectrum analyzer and record it.

2. Take the same DEMO board, set the DEMO board to the same frequency as the product module in the incubator, connect the antenna, and send data to the product in the incubator at a fixed time. The product blue light is on.

And when the blue light on the standard DEMO board is on, the product can send and receive data normally, and the recording communication function is normal; otherwise, the communication function is abnormal.

3. Change the oven temperature, set to -40°, -20°, 25°, 60°, 85°, and repeat the first step.

① set the incubator to -40°

② set the incubator to -20°

③ set the incubator to -25°

④ set the incubator to -60°

⑤ set the incubator to -85°

6. Qualified product judgment standards

For products with a frequency band set to 433MHz or 470MHz, the error between the actual measured operating frequency and the set frequency in each temperature environment does not exceed ±5KHz, and the communication function is normal, then the product is qualified.

For products with a frequency band set to 868MHz, the required error does not exceed ±9KHz; for products with a frequency band set to 915MHz, the required error does not exceed ±10KHz.

7. Product test conclusion

After standard measurement and calculation, the analysis data shows that the operating frequency deviation of the SV6500-433 wireless module is less than ±5KHz at normal temperature, which is a normal value. The deviation of the working frequency of the product in different high and low temperature environments is within the scope of the specification and can be normal. Send and receive data, test products are qualified.
