LORA module frequency difference

The LoRa module commonly used frequencies are 433MHz, 470MHz, 868MHz, 915MHz, 2.4GMHz, etc. Many users do not have a very good understanding of these frequency bands. This paper mainly analyzes the frequencies of these different LoRa modules, hoping to help the majority of users.

433HMz

The 433HMz wireless module uses high-frequency RF technology, which consists of a single IC RF front-end and a single-chip microcomputer to transmit signals at high speed. The frequency range is: 433.05~434.7HMz. 433HMz has higher receiving sensitivity and good diffractiveness. Under the same parameters, the transmission distance of 433 is farther than other frequencies, but the penetration ability of 433 is poor, and the networking is very difficult. 433HMz is the frequency of domestic license-free ISM development. It does not need to be authorized by local radio management, so it can be widely used in the market.

470MHz

According to the "China Radio Frequency Division", the main purpose of 470-510MHZ is to be used as a broadcasting service. The secondary services include fixed, mobile, radio transmission, etc. 470MHz is not an unlicensed frequency, so the 470MHz frequency is applied in the market. The range is not particularly large. The 470HMz band is generally used in the field of wireless walkie-talkies in the market.

868MHz, 915MHz

The domestically prescribed ISM frequency is 433MHz, 868MHz and 915MHz are ISMs regulated by countries such as Europe and the United States, so the 868 and 915HMz are not particularly widely used in China. 868MHz was introduced in China in 2008 to increase the use of micropower radios, while 915 is used by GSM.

2.4GHz

The 2.4GHz frequency range is 2.4~2.5GHz, which is a universally used wireless frequency. 2.4GHz is a networking protocol developed based on high-speed transmission rate. It has weak diffractive power, low receiving sensitivity, and distance. It is short, but it has strong penetrating power. It is easy to set up a network and it is easy to develop. It is widely used in indoor applications such as wireless construction and wireless broadband routers.
